Term 1 Week 2 2015

We have made a fantastic start to the year in the Senior School. Our wonderful Year 7s have slotted themselves in nicely to 'Across the Road' and it is great to see our new Year 8 stepping up for important leadership roles throughout the school. Below are some highlights from the first two weeks of 2015. Feel free to give us some feedback by leaving a comment.

Go by Bike Day

Our first school-wide event of the year went off without a hitch. It was a beautiful day to bike to school and we managed to reach of target of having over 300 bikes at school - 322 to be exact! While the sun is still shining, why not continue use your bike to get to school!

Cricket World Cup

What a cracker start to the World Cup with a great opening ceremony plus a solid performance from the Black Caps against Sri Lanka. The senior students are getting into the cricketing scene with some fun drills to develop ball and striking skills.

Technicraft

Last Wednesday saw us commence our Technicraft programme for the year. We have 6 six week modules throughout the year. These include Sewing, Cooking and Woodwork at Wainuiomata Intermediate and Computer Coding, Spanish and Drama at Muritai.

Fun in the sun!

We had an exceptional afternoon on Thursday at Days Bay. The sun was shining and the water was magic - perfect for some wharf jumping action!

Leadership Jobs for 2015

Take some time to read through the duties and qualities for each of these leadership and think if you could be the right fit for the job. We are really interested in anyone who is enthusiastic and has a passion in a certain area.

What else can you bring to these roles that are not already mentioned?
